Smart Works is a locally based charity that helps women get back into the workplace by building confidence, helping with CV’s and interview techniques, but they also help dress these women in the Workplace. They do this by taking donations of unwanted work clothes, shoes and accessories which are still in good condition.
This month the 10-12 Business Club are holding clothes drive to obtain new donations for the charity and our Guest Speaker, Sarah Burns the Chair of Smart Works Reading will be coming to tell us more about the charity and how local business owners can get involved.
Come and try this pop-up event and part of the 10-12 Business Club meeting format. The day will consist of the following:
- Open Networking with refreshments for 30 minutes and collection of Donated Clothes
- Individual personal introduction no more than 40 seconds.
- Informative talk by our guest speaker Sarah Burns of Smart Works Reading (30 minutes total)
- 2xs 10 minute 1-2-1s
- Future Events /Membership
- Close 12.50 to allow time for follow up
The 10-12 Business Club structured monthly meetings are for women in business looking to network with like-minded women in a structured environment. As well as open networking we have educational slots and presentations on business issues that may help you in the development of your own business.
Our meetings are held once per month and chaired by Issy Wiggins-Turner and Karen Livingstone, the co-owners of 10-12 Business Club. Our regular meetings are from 10am to 12 Noon but this Basingstoke Pop-Up meeting will be from 11am to 1pm so come along and give it a try.
We have a full agenda and our open networking starts with 20 minutes of informal but slightly structured networking. At 11.20 we will ask you to take a seat for the main part of the meeting to begin. Below is a brief description of the format for the mornings meeting:

The 10-12 Business Club Network Meeting for Basingstoke meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Longbridgemill Sherfield on Loddon on the A33 between Reading and Basingstoke at the later time of 11am to 1pm.
This is a new networking group in Hampshire which we know will prove to be very popular so it is advisable to book your meeting well in advance if you are planning to attend this Network Meeting. Due to the structure of our meetings, the maximum number of attendees at our meetings is 22 and this group will reach this number quite quickly. Early booking is advisable.
The 10-12 Business Club does not restrict membership to any professions and we do not lock down membership to one of each profession. We believe that people buy from people so there is no need to have only one of each profession. In fact our members often collaborate and network with business owners of similar professions.
